The Good Mom Story

It’s nothing huge to the one who carries it, but nothing small to the one who receives it. It’s a little card that spreads encouragement to good moms in our midst. And now more than ever, moms need it.

The mom quarantined at home with her young children, craving confirmation that she is doing a good job.

The mom who deserves a gold medal for trying to keep her two-year-old entertained day after day, with nowhere to go.

And the mom who can't remember the last time she slept more than a few hours in a row.

It’s a simple way to say “well done”.

Sarah Bruss, Founder

My brother Shelby and I started the Good Mom Campaign to provide a way for people to encourage moms during a short and sweet but incredibly challenging stage of life. As a young mom myself, I am lucky to have friends and family who boost my esteem when I feel like I've failed in my role as a mother, or when I'm so tired I can't even remember what I did well or not-so-well this week.

But many moms lack even one person to encourage them in the blessing and challenge of motherhood. We know that "it takes a village to raise a child," but our society is not set up to help mothers raise their young children. Instead, moms are often isolated, wondering if they are doing anything right, but knowing that they love their children most ardently and could really benefit from someone noticing that. We wanted to empower people with an easy way to do so.

Give a card to a mom you notice, whether she be a friend or stranger. Who knows: it might be the balm her soul needs today and a boost that lasts a lifetime.
